A third terrorist could be identified if Apple decrypts the iPhone owned by the FBI

After two weeks in which an extremely complex scandal broke out in the USA Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), si FBI made the front page of many newspapers, things are getting even more complicated now, with the authorities claiming that they could identify a third terrorist if Apple decrypted the iPhone in the possession of the FBI.

The district attorney of San Bernadino submitted a document to the court that judges this request of the FBI, he stated that the identity of a third terrorist could be revealed if Apple would unlock the iPhone in the possession of the FBI.

This statement is based on two calls made to the 911 emergency service in which three voices of the attackers could be heard and not just two, the authorities being of the opinion that they could also discover the last person guilty of the armed attack in San Bernadino.

Also yesterday, the same prosecutor stated that in the iPhone in the possession of the FBI there would be an extremely dangerous digital pathogen who could be released at any moment, his stories starting to reveal the desperation to decrypt a seemingly hard-to-crack iPhone.

Whether the judge presiding over the case believes in such theories or not remains to be seen, but it is clear that the authorities are becoming more and more desperate to obtain access to the data from the respective iPhone, but it will be very difficult for them to do it this way.

We've never been able to completely eliminate it. We know we have some witnesses who said they thought they saw three... some saw two, some saw one. The majority said two, and the evidence we have up to this point only supports two. The information contained solely on the seized iPhone could provide evidence to identify as of yet unknown co-conspirators...
