The iPhone SE has a smaller screen than the iPhone 6S and theoretically it was logical to see that there is an increase in autonomy for the battery, but you can see from the table below that it reaches up to 30% in certain situations, the difference being quite large.
The basis of the autonomy improvement is the A9 chip which consumes much less energy and if you look at the table you will notice that the iPhone 5S does not surpass the iPhone 6S in autonomy even though it has a smaller screen and its hardware consumes more energy.
