Dimensions
When it comes to dimensions, iPad Pro 9.7 inch is 240mm long, 169.5mm wide and 6.1mm thick, iPad pro having 305.7mm long, 220.6mm wide and 6.9mm thick. The weight also differs, iPad Pro 9.7 inches weighing 437g or 444g (4G version), iPad Pro weighing 713g or 723g.
A9X chip
Although the iPad Pro 9.7 inch has the same A9X chip as the iPad Pro, Apple says that the new tablet has 2.4 times more processing power and a 4.3 times better graphics card than the A7 chip, in the case of the iPad Pro the difference is 2.5x and respectively 5x, so the iPad Pro 9.7 inch most likely has a processor with a lower frequency and a weaker graphics card.
Rooms
In the case of the cameras, the differences are preserved, iPad Pro 9.7 inches having a 12 megapixel main camera removed from the case, iPad Pro having an 8 megapixel one. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro can shoot 4K, has True Tone Flash and Focus Pixels, and the iPad Pro does not, the smaller tablet also has a 5-megapixel main camera compared to the 1.2-megapixel one of the larger tablet.
Conectivitate
On the connectivity side, the only notable difference is that the iPad Pro 9.7 inch has an Apple Sim, while the iPad Pro uses standard SIMs.
Battery
When it comes to the battery, the iPad Pro 9.7 inch has a battery with a capacity of 27.5 Whr, while the iPad Pro has one of 38.5 Whr, those from Cupertino promoting the autonomy of 10 hours of use for both.
Prices
Finally, the differences remain in terms of price, iPad Pro 9.7 inches costs 599 dollars in the cheapest version, iPad Pro costs 799 dollars. Moreover, the iPad Pro 9.7 inch is available in a version with 256 GB of storage space, while the iPad Pro is not offered in such a version.
