Here are the types of users who buy the iPhone SE

Yesterday I told you that 3.4 million pre-orders for the iPhone SE were registered in China, the new smartphone of the Apple company seems to be a real success in the country, even though in other areas of the world the world was not entirely enthusiastic about the smartphone of the Americans.

To better understand who is interested in Apple's new smartphone, Slice Intelligence made the graph below that provides details on the types of people who purchase iPhone SE at the moment.

According to them, the iPhone 6S Plus attracted 49.3% of the current users of Apple products, the iPhone SE attracting only 35.4% of those who owned an iPhone in the past, the difference between the two figures being large if we look at the sales figure of the iPhone 6S Addition.

Instead, iPhone SE attracts more users who have not bought a smartphone in the last 2 years, here the percentages are 48.7% for the new terminal versus 40.4% for the one launched in the fall, the difference being somewhat smaller than in the previous situation.

Early data from Slice Intelligence indicates that the SE may help Apple grow its maturing iPhone consumer base. Only 35 percent of iPhone SE buyers purchased an iPhone online in the past two years, and 16 percent of them were previously Android users. By comparison, 49 percent of iPhone 6S buyers upgraded from a previous iPhone, and 10 percent replaced an Android device they bought online within the past two years.

In terms of attracting users of the Android platform, 16% of those who buy iPhone SE would come from the Google platform, while in the case of the iPhone 6S the percentage would be 10%.

Finally, the people from Slice claim that the majority of those who buy iPhone SE they are aged between 45 and 54, they are men and have higher education, the percentages being better than in the case of the iPhone 6S Plus.

More than one fifth of SE buyers are in the 45-54 age demographic, versus 18 percent for all iPhone buyers; and 77 percent of SE buyers are men, versus 69 percent... Only 39 percent of new SE owners have a college degree, whereas 46 percent of those who pre-ordered an iPhone 6 or 6S did.
