Kuvée – The wine bottle that connects to WI-FI

Wine drinkers have another good, or at least interesting, reason to enjoy a bottle of wine.

Kuvée is a smart wine bottle produced by Boston-based startup Kuvee, which connects to Wi-Fi and has a display that shows all the information about the drink.

The smart bottle is loaded with wine from cartridges specially designed by the manufacturer and promises to keep the drink fresh for 30 days.

The system is composed of two parts: the bottle and the wine cartridge that is inserted at the base of the bottle. When a new cartridge is inserted, the bottle knows what type of wine it is and displays information about the wine on the display: the producer, its logo, the grapes from which it was made, how many glasses of wine you have left to drink and even some images of the person who made the wine.

Through the display, which is tactile, new cartridges can be ordered from Kuvée's virtual store. At the moment, 48 wines from 12 different producers are available. The bottle costs $200, and the wine cartridges are priced between $15-50.
