Intel wants the 3.5mm audio port to disappear

Apple is not the only company trying to forget the 3.5mm audio port implemented in any electronic device capable of playing sounds, those from Intel having similar ideas for the port that seems to be too outdated to be part of gadgets anymore.

Intel recently announced that USB-C ports can successfully replace 3.5mm audio ports and supports a transition of electronic device manufacturers towards these new types of ports, abandoning the old ones in favor of the new, multifunctional ones.

Those from Intel claim that the USB-C ports are perfectly capable of allowing the playback of sounds from electronic devices, and since the new gadgets already come equipped with such ports, giving up the audio ones should be normal for most manufacturers.
