The first Macs with OLED screen and Touch ID appear in 2016

If for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus we will not have any radical surprises this year, the Apple company is still preparing unexpected changes for its Macs, the first laptops with OLED touch screens and Touch ID support will be launched towards the end of this year .

According to a renowned Asian analyst, Apple intends to launch a MacBook Pro thinner than the current model, but also with a much lower weight, many of the changes prepared by the Americans being taken over from the MacBook 12 inch launched last year.

Apart from the radical changes for the exterior of the case, the new MacBook Pro will also have touch OLED screens mounted above the keyboard, the change being quite interesting for the line of Macs from Cupertino.

According to the analyst, the OLED touch screen would replace the physical buttons placed above the keyboard, the case would be mounted to the screen with a new type of hinge that we talked about a few weeks ago when the first information about it appeared.

While long overlooked, the MacBook line is the brightest spot for Apple's 2016 rollouts. This is particularly true of the two new MacBook Pro models, to be introduced in 4Q16, as they will have a thinner and lighter form factor, Touch ID, use OLED display touch bar (to replace physical function keys, located above the keyboard) and adopt USB-C / Thunderbolt 3.

Separately from updating the MacBook Pro line, Apple plans to launch a new MacBook with a 13-inch screen that will have a similar design to the 12-inch MacBook, with MacBook Airs to be sold at much lower prices starting this year.

These changes would be announced towards the end of this year, most likely around the release of the new version of OS X 10.12 or macOS1, but it remains to be seen what other details we will find out by then regarding the news prepared by Apple .
