Apple Pay launches in Switzerland on June 13

WWDC 2016 brings you not only software news for Apple customers, but also news for those who use it Apple Pay because Apple is going to announce an extension of the availability of its service, Switzerland being at least one of the countries where it is going to be launched.

According to a local publication, Apple Pay will be launched in Switzerland on June 13, this being the 7th country where the mobile payment system will be available, and one of the first banks to offer support for this system is Cornèr Bank.

Considering that in Switzerland the biggest banks are UBS and Credit Suisse, there is a chance that at least one of them will offer support for Apple Pay right from the day of launch, otherwise the service will not have such a strong start as Apple would like.

Apple registered the name as a trademark Apple Pay in Switzerland for some time, so the launch of the mobile payment system was expected this year, and now we learn that it will take place much earlier than many people expected.

Great Britain is currently the only country in Europe that has Apple Pay for users of iDevices compatible with the system, but after WWDC 2016 we could witness the expansion of availability to more countries in Europe, or other geographical areas.
