Digi Mobil was the leader in goalkeepers in S1 2016

Ending a year in which it dominated its competition in terms of attracting new customers, Digi Mobil was the leader in goalkeepers in the first 6 months of 2016, the operator owned by RCS & RDS managing to convince 197.000 customers to contract his services, a substantial figure compared to that of direct competitors.

According to those from Digi Mobil, Orange placed in the 2nd position with 88.000 ported numbers in the network, Vodafone in the third position with 83.000 porters and Telekom in the last position with over 46.000 porters, together the three operators slightly surpassing Digi Mobil in the number of goalkeepers.

Practically, in the first 6 months of 2016, 414.000 calls were registered between the 4 mobile networks, and 197.000 of these were made only to the Digi Mobil network, so the operator clearly dominates its competition in this segment, but also in as regards landline telephony, the situation being similar there as well.

Digi Mobil managed to attract no less than 759.000 new customers since the launch of the possibility to port phone numbers between mobile operators, and now over 2 million people use the operator's services, holding approximately a quarter of the subscription market for individuals.

Digi Mobil managed to outperform its competition through the very low prices charged for mobile phone subscriptions and the substantially higher data traffic offered to customers, and thus Orange, Vodafone and Telekom lost a large number of customers, but despite this, the receipts of these companies did not decrease.

Considering the way the market has evolved in recent years, it is quite clear that Digi Mobil will continue on this trend for at least the next 6 months.
