Apple thought an iPhone with a digital crown

The digital crown implemented by the Apple company in the Apple Watch could soon arrive including in the iPhone, or the iPad tablets, those from Cupertino creating a series of patents in which they describe the way in which this component could find a place in the iDevice in the future.

According to the documentation sent by the Apple company to the US Patent and Trademark Office, the digital crown could be used in the iPhone or iPad to adjust the volume, to resize texts, to lock or unlock the iDevices, or to record photos using the Camera application.

In the image below you can see how the digital crown could be attached to an iPad tablet whose screen would have no borders, the positioning being extremely strange and inappropriate for a tablet, or even for a smartphone, but I suppose that Apple could think a less intrusive way to include the rotary knob.

You can also see a concept that shows us a more elegant way to implement a digital crown in an iPhone, but no matter how we look at things, including such a component in an iPhone, or an iPad tablet, is a strange move that Apple could do.

In some examples, the device may not have a border region and may instead have a surface composed only of touch screen.

To be honest, I can't imagine an iPhone, or an iPad tablet, that would have a digital crown, and I don't think Apple will rush to bring such a device to market, especially since people would enjoy it to have a larger battery and not necessarily a semi-useless digital crown, which would replace functions that are easier to use in other conditions.
