Moscow is not sitting around for nothing either and announces that it will launch at the end of August an application inspired by the game Pokemon Go, an application that will be called "Discover Moscow. Photo".
Thus, Muscovites and guests of the city will soon have the opportunity to "catch" historical personalities of Russia and even take a selfie with them.
Through it, users will be able to capture famous characters from Russian history, such as Pushkin or Peter the Great, instead of brightly colored virtual monsters. Each personality will be placed somewhere in Moscow and geographically marked.
Authorities say that " as soon as a user is within the 50-metre (164ft) radius to the required co-ordinate ".
The authorities hope that the updated application after Pokemon GO will contribute to the increase of public interest in the rich cultural heritage of Moscow and that they will give users another reason to go more in the capital.
