Digi Mobil is the goalkeeper champion in Romania

Digi Mobil recorded the most number of calls in the network at the national level in Romania, 2016 being the year with the most total number of calls.

Digi Mobil is the champion of gatekeepers in Romania, the mobile phone operator managing to convince a very large number of customers to switch to its network in almost 8 years. In 2008, porters were launched in Romania, and since then and until now, the monthly number of porters has increased almost 10 times, with Digi Mobil being the main beneficiary of this trend.

From 2008 until now, 3.3 million porters have been processed in Romania, "of which 2.679.104 are mobile phone numbers and 635.622 are fixed phone numbers," according to ANCOM. 2016 will be the year of records in terms of goalkeepers, in the first 9 months, 698.176 numbers were ported, compared to 844.477 in 2015, so this year the figure of 900.000 goalkeepers would be reached.

As far as mobile telephony is concerned, Digi Mobil is the gatekeeper champion, the mobile operator convincing 870.768 customers to come to its network. The figure represents a quarter of the total numbers ported in Romania in 8 years, and this is thanks to the very low prices that Digi Mobil charges.

In the case of fixed telephony, the top is similar, the only exception being the fact that between Vodafone and Orange are those from UPC.
