Apple will announce the first drop in revenue in 15 years

Apple will announce the first decrease in revenue in a fiscal year compared to the previous fiscal year, a negative record in the last 15 years.

Today we will witness a new historical moment for the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, but unfortunately we are talking about a negative one, because the Americans will announce the first drop in receipts in a fiscal year in the last 15 years. For three fiscal quarters in a row, the Apple company announces decreases in revenue compared to record quarters, so 2016 will have a negative final balance compared to 2015.

2015 was the year in which the Apple company registered its record of receipts so far, that is, 233 billion dollars in receipts from sales. 2016 is going to be a weaker year, with receipts of "only" 215 billion dollars, so a decrease of 18 billion dollars, or 8%, the difference being greater than the annual receipts of many companies.

Based on these financial performances, the Apple company is going to announce the first drop in revenue from one fiscal year to another, in the last 15 years. From 2001 until now, the Apple company has only had an increase in revenue from one fiscal year to another, but 2016 is the year in which this increase will stop and Apple will record a decrease.

Apple will announce the first drop in revenue in 15 years

According to American analysts, Apple is going to announce revenues of 47 billion dollars for Q3 2016, despite the launch of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. With this amount, the previously mentioned 215 billion dollars will be reached, and Apple will have a new negative record this year, the first being the decrease in revenue in a fiscal quarter compared to the previous year.

Although analysts expect Apple to announce this negative record during this day, they have very high expectations from the company during 2017. They expect iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus to have very good sales during 2017 and to help Apple record new sales records, getting back on the "good" road.

Having said that, this evening the Apple company will announce the financial results for Q3 2016.
