The new AMD Radeon graphics cards in the MacBook Pro – the first details

Yesterday Apple announced the integration of new AMD Radeon graphics cards in its new models MacBook Pro sold all over the world, but without giving too many details. Those from AMD still came up with some clarifications regarding the technical specifications of these products, and below you can see what they offer for customers.

AMD Radeon 400 series graphics cards are manufactured based on the Polaris architecture and using a 14nm manufacturing process, their performance being up to expectations. With up to 4 GB of VRAM memory, these video cards can provide bandwidth of up to 80 GB/s, enough to support two 5K monitors and the MacBook Pro's Retina display, rendering 32 million pixels.

As standard, Apple ships the MacBook Pro with AMD Radeon PRo 450 and 455 video cards as standard options, but the 460 model must be purchased separately. The prices vary between 100 dollars and 200 dollars, depending on the model of MacBook Pro chosen by the customer, so everyone can configure their own MacBook Pro as they want.

The graphics performance offered by these video cards are up to 60% better than those of the previous models, and this is a serious upgrade. The Apple company took care to offer its users very high processing power on the graphics side, especially since it offers support for multiple 5K monitors connected to them.
