The MacBook Pro no longer has an illuminated Apple logo

In line with the change made in the 12-inch MacBook, Apple has removed the illuminated logo from the case MacBook Pro 13 inches and 15 inches, the change not being officially announced. Of course, Apple did not announce it because it leaves the laptop without one of its iconic elements that make it extremely easy to recognize no matter where users use it.

In the new MacBook Pro, Apple uses a glossy Apple logo instead of the illuminated logo that has been used until now, it being similar to the one used in the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. The change was expected by some Apple fans, considering the modification made for the 12-inch MacBook, so not everyone is surprised.

The first Mac with an illuminated Apple logo was launched in 1999 by Apple and was called the PowerBook G3, but in 2016 only the old MacBook Air still has such a component. Considering that this Mac model will also be discontinued, most likely next year, Apple will completely remove the illuminated logos from its products.

An explanation for this change was not provided by the Apple company and probably will not be provided in the near future. Those from Cupertino make changes of this kind, in general, to implement new technologies and improve battery autonomy, so a multitude of reasons can be found without much effort.
