eMAG Black Friday 2016 ended last night, and today the discounts eMAG continue in the Crazy Days campaign, from this page, but yesterday was a bad day for the online store. Setting a goal of reaching 250 million in sales generated by Black Friday 2016, those from eMAG exceeded public expectations and registered a new sales record.
More precisely, during the Black Friday 2016 discount campaign, eMAG recorded sales of 301 million lei, i.e. 100 million lei more than last year. The increase in sales is 50% compared to Black Friday in 2015, and in LEI, we are talking about 51 million lei more than what the online store expected.
The world complained about the prices, complained about the fact that the website did not work in the morning and many other things, but eMAG still managed to record a sales record for Black Friday 2016 in Romania. With 1.1 million products sold and 6.2 million visits in a single day, the people from eMAG managed to prove again that Black Friday is a phenomenon in Romania.

Without numbers from stores like Altex it is hard to say, but we might be talking about a national record in terms of sales on the occasion of Black Friday 2016. Considering that the rest of the competition organized Black Friday all Monday, it is unlikely that any other online or offline store to have sold more than that in a single day.
The success of those from eMAG also contributed to the fact that most competing stores did not have as good cumulative offers, and this was done on social networks. There were also many accusations regarding deceptive prices, but here eMAG suffers from its partners, the vast majority of problems of this kind coming not from eMAG, but from the 2000 resellers in the Marketplace.
That said, Black Friday 2016 was, once again, an extremely good year for stores.
