Apple indirectly confirms iPhone 8 rumors

The Apple company indirectly confirmed today the rumors regarding the implementation of a wireless charging system in the iPhone 8. More specifically, the people from Cupertino are now part of the Wireless Power Consortium, an organization whose purpose is to establish the standards for the development of wireless charging systems for electronic products.

We are talking about a group made up of many smartphone and tablet manufacturers, the presence of those from Apple suggesting that the iPhone 8 will have this technology. Apple always avoids joining groups for technologies that are not implemented in its products, but that is until it integrates, or is going to integrate those technologies.

The latest rumor regarding the implementation of a wireless charging system in the iPhone 8 suggests that a charging pad will be necessary. Apple intends to offer induction charging based on the Qi system, so any kind of charging pad will be able to charge the iPhone 8, but we are not blind about remote charging, unfortunately.

Although few are confident in the possibility of the iPhone 8 having an induction charging system, the reality is that the technology will be implemented. Those from Apple waited a long time to integrate such a system in their own products, but this year they will do it and the iPhone 8 will have an induction charging system, which will be faster than the standard one.

"The success of wireless charging adoption from Apple's competitors is something that Apple can no longer ignore. IHS Technology consumer survey data shows over 90% of consumers want wireless charging on their next device."
