The year 2017 will be the year in which we will have the most smartphones with fingerprint readers integrated into screens by manufacturers from all over the world. CricialTec, one of the largest manufacturers of components of this kind, announced that multiple smartphone manufacturers have already contracted the company to supply components of this kind.
Of course, company names were not provided, but many smartphones will allow fingerprint scanning by simply touching the screen. If we normally used special buttons to scan our fingerprints, now the technology will be integrated into the screens and simply touching them at a certain point will allow us to scan the fingerprints.
It was initially rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S8 would have such an integrated technology, but Samsung chose to place the fingerprint reader in the case. It is also said that the iPhone 8 will allow fingerprint scanning directly on the screen, but recent rumors suggest that Apple could replace this biometric security method with retina scanning.
Considering that Samsung will not offer this fingerprint scanning technology, there is a possibility that the iPhone 8 will do it, but we will probably see it from various Chinese manufacturers. Huawei, Oppo, Vivo and other Chinese companies could implement technologies of this kind in their own smartphones this year, and from here the rest will do it as well.

Having said that, a variety of interesting technologies will appear this year for smartphones and it will be interesting to see how the user experience will look like.
