iPhone – the document confirming the change in warranty policy

Yesterday I told you that Apple made a major change regarding the viewing policy granting the warranty for iPhone terminals whose screens have been replaced by unauthorized GSM services. More precisely, Apple no longer completely cancels the iPhone warranty after such an unauthorized repair, but only the replaced screen, the rest of the warranty remaining valid.

This radical change regarding the granting of the warranty for iPhone terminals was announced by the Apple company through an internal memo sent to employees. Yesterday we didn't have that memo, but today we can see it sent by an employee who works inside the chain of Apple stores where this document was shared.

You can see very clear written by the company that an iPhone with problems can be repaired under warranty, as long as the problems are not related to the replaced screen. If the replacement of the screen at an unauthorized GSM service did not have any negative effect on the terminal, then the warranty will be honored, otherwise it will be cancelled.

Until now, the Apple company cancels without discussion the warranty of an iPhone whose screen was replaced in an unauthorized service, but things are changing. Those from Cupertino see the situation differently and allow customers to change their iPhone screens wherever they want, as long as the repair does not affect the integrity of the other components of the terminal.

This change is currently applied in the USA, Canada and other countries around the world, but I will only find out tomorrow if Romania is included among these countries.
