Siri helps iPhone users find escorts

Siri, Apple's personal assistant, had a major problem until recently, because it was trying to be helpful to those trying to find prostitutes in Toronto. According to a local bar, Siri's personal assistant directed users to her location when they were looking for prostitutes.

The owner of the bar started receiving nocturnal calls since November, but claims that his bar does not offer such pleasures for customers. After months of calls asking him to make prostitutes available to customers, the owner of the bar contacted Apple to solve this Siri problem.

It seems that Siri associates the words "prostitutes", "escorts" and "hookers" with the Meltdown eSports Bar, and here we are most likely talking about a human error, or one of artificial intelligence. Regardless of what the source of the problem was, the people from Apple solved it, and now Siri no longer displays this strange recommendation for those looking for prostitutes.

Siri has been a problematic assistant over time, displaying inappropriate answers for some questions, but this is one of the worst errors that Siri has had so far.

"Apple's voice-activated search function has been directing Toronto users who ask about prostitutes to a Little Italy bar that, owners say, is definitely not a place to find them. In a series of tests, the Star asked Siri to find "prostitutes," "escorts," and "hookers," and was given Meltdown's name, address, phone number and location on a map, each time."
