iPhone 8 will be released in the fall of this year and although we know for sure that it will come, we do not know yet what name the Apple company has chosen for its new product. According to an alleged source from Foxconn, the company that assembles the iPhone, those from Apple would use the name iPhone Edition for the terminal that we now know as iPhone 8.
The source of today's information would have seen a prototype of the iPhone 8 being tested at Foxconn and she claims that although the terminal will have a screen that covers the entire case, there are still some differences. For starters, there won't be a Home button, and Touch ID will be moved to the iPhone 8 case to allow fingerprint scanning, so there wouldn't be a scanner under the screen.
The new Touch ID button would be positioned somewhere under the Apple logo, close to the middle of the iPhone 8 case, but it will be extremely awkward to use, the choice being a stupid one. However, the Home button is going to be transformed into a virtual one that will occupy a portion of the OLED screen, exactly 0.5 inches from its lower part, according to some rumors.
iPhone 8 – completely unexpected name
Although many expected a glass case for the iPhone 8, it seems that Apple has chosen to continue using a metal case, probably aluminum. Those from Cupetino discovered that the glass cracks very easily during use, so they would have decided not to use such a material for their product in order not to make it too fragile for use.
Continuing, the iPhone 8 will also have a dual camera like the iPhone 7 Plus, but unlike the current terminal, they should be positioned vertically on the case. In the image below you can also see what this iPhone 8 should look like, according to the prototype that would have been seen by the Foxconn employee, it being truly unique.
My opinion is that this information regarding the iPhone 8 is partially taken from other rumors, partially the invention of someone's imagination who is too bored. I tend to believe that Apple will not launch a product that looks so stupid, but if the iPhone 8 looks like this, I think that many people will look very carefully at other models, but I don't think that will happen.
