iPad 2017 – screen with higher brightness than iPad Air

iPad 2017 would implement a screen superior to the one used in the iPad Air 2 tablet, and according to those from iFixit, the difference would be quite considerable. More precisely, we are talking about a difference of 44% in terms of the brightness of the iPad 2017 and iPad Air screens, the new tablet having the better brightness, as the Apple company also stated.

Although Apple does not provide details on the technological differences between the iPad 2017 and iPad Air screens, those from Cupertino have probably implemented more lighting panels. In this idea, the autonomy could be lower than in the case of the old tablet, but the brightness is higher to provide a better user experience.

Without clear information from the Apple company, it is speculated that the new screen is one created for the iPad Air, but not used until now. Those from iFixIt speculate that if the screen from the iPad 2017 was mounted in the iPad Air, it would be bright, as there are many similarities between the two tablets in terms of the screen.

The iPad 2017 has a lower selling price than any other new iPad tablet ever released by Apple, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have technological innovations.

"Apart from the anti-reflective features of the new iPad Air 2 display, however, DisplayMate says the display performs identically to the iPad 4 and "slightly lower in performance" than the first-generation iPad Air. In its tests it found the iPad Air 2 display to have 8% lower Brightness and 16% lower display Power Efficiency compared to the original iPad Air. The report speculates it's likely a result of includes with the backlight in order to produce a thinner device."
