iPhone 8, or iPhone Edition, is in full development within the Apple company, and today we learn a series of new information about what it will bring us. More specifically, the iPhone 8 will have a slightly curved OLED screen and a glass case combined using a thin metal structure, as happened with the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S.
The iPhone 8 will have a 5.8-inch screen, with 5.2 inches available to display information, having the dimensions of an iPhone 7, but coming with a vertical dual camera. This iPhone 8 model with dual vertical camera has recently passed the DVT (Design Verification Test) stage of development, so there is a good chance that it will be used by Apple as a final product.
The idea of using a vertical dual camera in the iPhone 8 is based on the fact that Apple would like to offer functions for virtual reality in its new smartphone. It seems that Apple would like to integrate technologies from the company Emergent VR in the iPhone 8, and the new dual vertical camera would simplify the recording of content by any user of the new smartphone.

The iPhone 8 screen is to be combined with the new metal structure in a similar way to that of the Apple Watch, but Apple has found a better technique to achieve this. This iPhone 8 screen will also be flat, like the previous LCD screens, so we are not talking about a design similar to the one used in the Samsung Galaxy series.
The physical Home button is also non-existent on the iPhone 8 screen, being transformed into a virtual one, visible in the entire interface of the operating system. Regarding Touch ID, Apple wants to integrate the fingerprint reader under the iPhone 8 screen, but it has great difficulties in doing so, so it remains to be seen if it will manage to offer us such a big change.
"The next iPhone Edition will adopt the stainless steel enclosure sandwiched between the glass plates. according to the information channel, the EVT(Engineer verification test) stage seems to have long lasted afterwards and it wasn't until recently when it has progressed to DVT(Design verification test) at last. If the camera is turned sideways using a vertical arrangement, it's forecasted that it wouldn't be possible to take VR shots using Emergent VR technology."
All these changes prepared for the iPhone 8, iPhone Edition, have already been announced by various rumors that have appeared so far from a variety of sources. Of course, since the iPhone 8 is only in the DVT stage of development, it remains to be seen what will reach the final stage and will be offered by the Apple company for customers in the fall.
