A man found an iPhone 4 near the airbag of his car

A very unusual story comes today from the USA, an iPhone 4S being discovered in the compartment where the airbag for one of the passengers of a car was placed. We are talking about a 2009 Subaru Forester that an American has owned for over 5 years, and in the airbag compartment there is an iPhone 4S, which was fully functional after recovery.

This model of the Subaru Forester was recalled for service in order to replace a defective airbag on the passenger side, and those from the service who performed the repair discovered the iPhone 4S terminal. The Apple product was also blocked in AirPlane Mode, so access to data from the iPhone 4S was not possible, so the man thought of using the Internet to find out whose it is.

The date of the terminal had remained blocked for January 3, and looking in the calendar, the man found out that in 2015 January 3 was on a Sunday. Connecting the terminal to a computer, the man discovered that it belonged to a person named Sully, and from here he started using the help of Facebook and Craiglist to find out who the owner is.

Facebook was no help, but Craiglist solved the problem, the man being contacted by the owner of the iPhone 4S terminal. He stated that in the summer of 2014 he traveled with the owner of the car and before a boat ride he left the terminal in the compartment dedicated to the storage of small objects on board the car.

No one knows how the iPhone 4S terminal "traveled" from there to the airbag compartment, but the people from Subaru say that if the airbag had been triggered, there would not have been any danger that the terminal would have been thrown into the someone's face Having said that, here's what kind of interesting journeys iPhone terminals have.

The whole story is much more complex and you can do it find here.

"Then please point me to a better (and true) story than this one, prompted by a mechanic finding an old iPhone ― locked and stuck in airplane mode ― in a Subaru's dashboard airbag compartment (yep, you read that correctly). Then the car owner goes on a tireless search to figure out not only who it belongs to, but how it got there."
