Among these new functions, it seems that the one for LTE gigabit will not be found, and the reason for its absence is based on the Intel company and its products.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has implemented gigabit LTE support, which means it can support 4G LTE download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, but the iPhone 8 will not have such a thing. Samsung Galaxy S8 has this support thanks to Qualcomm chips, but those from Apple will use modems from Qualcomm and Intel in iPhone 8, and the latter do not have support for such technologies.
Apple chose to use Intel and Qualcomm modems in the iPhone 7, reducing the performance of the latter because the former were weaker. The same thing will happen for the iPhone 8, especially since Apple and Qualcomm are involved in multiple lawsuits around the world and accuse each other of blackmail, refusing to pay each other various sums of money.
iPhone 8 – the function that will be missing because of Intel
Considering the delicate situation between Apple and Qualcomm, it is clear that the iPhone 8 will not only use modems from Qualcomm, so it will not benefit from LTE gigabit for now. Even if the iPhone 8 had only Qualcomm modems, it is unlikely that Apple would have chosen to implement support for this, for now, immature technology.
Although many mobile operators have announced that they will have gigabit LTE networks, very few will be available before the launch of the iPhone 8. Apple is not in the habit of implementing immature technologies in its products, and in this situation it was unlikely that the iPhone 8 would have gigabit LTE support available to us.
iPhone 8 will most likely have support for 4G LTE networks that offer Internet browsing speeds of up to 600 Mbps. At the moment there are enough operators that offer support for them, and the iPhone 8 will be able to work without problems, although the vast majority of operators have networks with speeds of up to 300 Mbps.
