iPhone 8 – the first performance test of the processor

iPhone 8 is brought to our attention again with a performance test that is presented as false, but which shows a major increase in processing power.

iPhone 8 is presented today in an alleged performance test made for what is shown to be the new A11 chip that will be used by Apple. In the image below you can see the results of this alleged performance test made for an alleged iPhone 8, and its results are absolutely impressive for a smartphone.

We are talking about an alleged A11 chip for the iPhone 8 in which there is a quad-core processor with at least 2 cores clocked at a speed of 2.74 GHz. In this configuration, this alleged iPhone 8 would obtain 4537 points in the single-core processor test and 8975 points in the multi-core test, the performance differences being very large compared to the iPhone 7 Plus.

More precisely, in the single-core test we are talking about a 30% increase in performance for the iPhone 8, while for the multi-core test the difference is over 50%. Basically, this supposed performance test for the iPhone 8 reveals performances similar to those of some of the Macs that have Intel processors, and no one really expects that.

Although the results are impressive, the founder of Geekbench, the application with which this performance test of the iPhone 8 was made, claims that it is fake. More precisely, he claims that the image would have been modified in Photoshop by those who published it online, so it remains to be seen in the coming weeks if the iPhone 8 really has such good performance.

It is not excluded that the iPhone 8 will have an A11 processor that will have single-core results at least as good as those in the image below. For the multi-core tests, it is unlikely that the iPhone 8 will register an equally good score, but we can expect that regardless of the situation, the iPhone 7 Plus will be surpassed without any problems.

Considering that the iPhone 8 is approaching the final stages of the testing process, we will see more and more images of this kind in the next period. I am sure without a doubt that the iPhone 8 will be the best performing iPhone so far, but also that it will regain its "crown" as the "king" of smartphones in terms of performance.
