The president of Apple stated that the sales of Macs were very good in the first quarter of 2017, they increased slightly compared to the same period last year, to the amazement of many.
Even though at the end of last year Apple launched new MacBook Pro models, those from Cupertino continue to invest "aggressively" in the development of new products. The revenue generated by Macs increased by 14% in Q1 2017 compared to the same period last year, and this is mainly thanks to the interest generated by the new MacBook Pro models.
Considering that Apple still finds many customers for its laptops, it is normal for it to focus very seriously on the development of new products.
