iPhone 7 was the best-selling smartphone in Q1 2017 according to Kantar, placing Apple's terminal above competitors in the smartphone segment. The two products from the iPhone 7 series recorded sales of 39.4 million units, according to Kantar, the version with a 4.7-inch screen being more popular. Although the iPhone 7 remains popular, the iPhone 7 Plus has seen much higher sales than its predecessors in previous series, and that says a lot about consumer preferences.
iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus alone recorded more sales than the other three terminals in the top, in fact iPhone 7 surpassed them alone in sales without problems. Oppo R9s, Samsung Galaxy J3 and J5 2016 complete this top 5, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus being the only premium smartphones that are present in this Kantar listing.
Although the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have an average selling price of over 670 dollars, they still sell extremely well worldwide, surpassing any other premium smartphone. We meet this situation year after year, because Apple always manages to outperform its competitors in the smartphone market thanks to the innovations in its products.
