Windows 7 and 8 can be blocked on any computer with this bug

Windows 7 and Windows 8 can block any type of computer due to a recently discovered bug in Microsoft's operating systems, which can be triggered even by simple Internet browsing. More precisely, some websites can trigger this Windows 7 and Windows 8 bug when users access certain pages, and this without them being able to protect themselves.

When this Windows 7 and Windows 8 bug is triggered, the computers start working extremely hard to the point where they have to be restarted. The bug discovered in Windows 7 and Windows 8 can sometimes lead to the appearance of blue screens, which are then followed by a restart of the computers, as usually happens.

The bug discovered in Windows 7 and Windows 8 is based on the attempt of a website to load a type file $MFT in the way of a director. Specifically, if the website tries to load an image into the directory c:\$MFT\xxx, then the bug will be triggered automatically, this combination of characters being used by NTFS file systems for files that contain "special" metadata.

Of course, websites try to try something that doesn't exist, and Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems refuse to work without us being able to do something. The Microsoft company was notified about this existing bug in Windows 7 and Windows 8, but it is not known when, or if, it will ever be solved, but it was discovered very recently.

Having said that, be careful what kind of websites you access if you use Windows 7 and Windows 8 on your computer, Windows 10 not being affected, although Windows Vista is.

"This time around, the special filename of choice is $MFT. $MFT is the name given to one of the special metadata files that are used by Windows' NTFS file system. The file exists in the root directory of each NTFS volume, but the NTFS driver handles it in special ways, and it's hidden from view and inaccessible to most software."
