A variety of sketches that have appeared recently show us that the iPhone 8 will have a Power button whose length is greater than that of the button in the iPhone 7, and the difference raises many question marks.
One theory suggested that Apple could implement Touch ID in the iPhone 8's Power button, but it would require a truly exceptional fingerprint reader for that. Apart from it, there are no other logical explanations for the integration of a longer Power button in the iPhone 8, because there does not seem to be a need for such a change for the component.
The images below come from a reliable source that doesn't give details on the reason behind the larger Power button for the iPhone 8, so we can only speculate. It is much safer for the iPhone 8 to have Touch ID in the screen than in an elongated and very thin power button, but of course anything would be possible at this point, so nothing can be ruled out.
