iPhone 8 – two Safe Functions to implement

The iPhone 8 has two safe implementation functions, the 3D camera and wireless charging, which have been awaited by many Apple fans for years.

iPhone 8 has two of the new functions confirmed as safe for implementation by the Apple company starting this fall. We are talking about information that the American analysts managed to obtain from Apple's partners who would have already been contracted to start the production of the components that would ensure these two new functions of the iPhone 8 in the fall.

The first of the two functions that will surely arrive in the iPhone 8 is the one for augmented reality, which is based on a 3D camera and two sensors that will help it. Lumentum and Finisar are the companies that will provide the 3D camera that will have a laser and an infrared sensor in the iPhone 8, all working in tandem to take pictures that include the depth of objects.

Such images are essential for augmented reality applications, and in iPhone 8 those from Apple will use the new 3D camera for a variety of functions. Practically, using the 3D camera in the iPhone 8 we will be able to make maps of the interior of the rooms and we will see "in relief" the objects that are placed in them, so that we will have as real a representation as possible in the pictures of the objects in the rooms.

"It is our belief that Lumentum (LITE) has received orders for both low-powered and high-powered solutions. Finisar (FNSR) appears to have secured orders for high-powered solutions as well, although we believe LITE will be the dominant supplier. Viavi (VIAV) looks to have a stranglehold on the filter side of the design with a sole-sourced position."

iPhone 8 – two functions that are safe to implement

The second long-awaited function of the iPhone 8, which was confirmed by analysts, is the wireless charging that Apple wants to offer us. According to analysts, Apple would have chosen Broadcom as the supplier of components that will allow wireless charging of the iPhone 8, but this functionality could also be offered in the iPhone 7S from this fall.

Wistron, a partner that produces iPhone and iPad for Apple, has confirmed that the iPhone 8 will have wireless charging, and the choice of Broadcom is a logical one. Broadcom is one of the companies known for such chips, and Apple already uses other Broadcom communication chips, so in iPhone 8 we will have wireless charging, probably very fast.

"Contract manufacturer Wistron has recently corroborated our belief that the next generation iPhone will support wireless charging, according to the Nikkei. Our field research has confirmed that Broadcom (AVGO) is the lead supplier. Additionally, our recent TSMC (TSM) production checks appear to corroborate significant share gains for AVGO, as their Q3 production forecasts are up 30% sequentially and more than 15% YoY.”

The 3D camera and wireless charging are two functions that can be presented as safe to implement in the iPhone 8, Apple's emphasis on augmented reality confirming the first of them, and for the second we have confirmation even from those who produce the iPhone.
