Windows 10 – source code published by hackers

Windows 10 has its source code published on the Internet by hackers, Microsoft confirming that other internal software was also stolen.

Windows 10 is experiencing an extremely dangerous leak these days, as a group of hackers has published 32 TB of Microsoft operating system data on the Internet. We are talking about 32.000 GB of data regarding Windows 10, among which is part of the source code of the operating system, but also code used inside the company for development.

Those from Microsoft have confirmed that the Windows 10 files published by hackers are legitimate, so we are talking about one of the biggest and most dangerous leaks so far. The biggest problem is that a large part of the source code used by Windows 10 to run on computers around the world has been leaked.

Here we also include the drivers for USB, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth that are used by the Windows 10 operating system, so the whole world is practically at risk. Since the source code of Windows 10 has been published, it is clear that the operating system has become extremely vulnerable, with hackers being able to discover new ways to take control of computers.

Windows 10 – source code published by hackers

The data regarding Windows 10 published by hackers started to be collected since March, and it was not available for download for a very long time. A website called BetaArchive hosted all the information regarding the Windows 10 source code and software, but they were deleted, most likely at the request of Microsoft.

Microsoft has stated that all information regarding the Windows 10 software comes from a program called the Shared Source Initiative. It is intended to share the source code of Windows 10 with computer manufacturers, so it seems that someone there did not protect their login data well, or chose to provide this information to hackers to be published on the Internet.

"Our review confirms that these files are actually a portion of the source code from the Shared Source Initiative and is used by OEMs and partners. The 'Shared Source Kit' folder did exist on the FTP until your article came to light. We have removed it from our FTP and listings pending further review just in case we missed something in our initial release. We currently have no plans to restore it until a full review of its contents is carried out and it is deemed acceptable under our rules."

It seems that even multiple versions of Windows 10 were taken over by hackers, these being used by the employees of the American company for testing. Faced with this hack, the people from Microsoft have little to do but to try to cover as quickly as possible the possible vulnerabilities that Windows 10 still has, in order to protect their customers, who are now vulnerable.

  1. How can you say that the win 10 interface is ugly .. and that you are on 7 because it is cool ... look how stupid it seems to me to have win 2017 installed in 7 and not receive a security update for I don't know how long ... I inform you that the next Windows update will have an aesthetic similar to Mac OS... so in terms of beauty, you will want to switch to 10

  2. have this.... it will look similar .. not exactly .. ..from what I saw on the net ....
