Smartphone - how is the Resolution Autonomy affected

SmartphoneToday's devices mostly have screens with QHD resolution, i.e. 2560 x 1440 pixels, and many wonder if they have better autonomy than the terminals that have screens with lower resolution. Well, in the video clip below you can see a comparison made between two smartphones Samsung Galaxy S8 to see what autonomy they have at various resolutions.

Of course, the test is not a scientific one, but with its help we can find out if the battery life of a smartphone decreases if we set a higher screen resolution. In the clip, the resolution of 2920 x 1440 pixels is compared with that of 1280 x 720 pixels to show us how much the resolution can decrease when using a higher resolution for a smartphone screen.

Despite many theories to the contrary, setting a high resolution for a smartphone screen seems to affect only 2% battery life in contrast to using a lower resolution. Of course, the test is not a scientific one, so you have to look at it as such, because its results will definitely not apply to any smartphone.
