WhatsApp - How Many People Use the Network Daily

WhatsApp announced today how many people use the messaging network every day, monthly and how many messages, pictures or videos are sent daily.

WhatsApp announced last night some interesting statistics regarding the number of people who use the messaging network daily or monthly through dedicated applications. WhatsApp is a company owned by Facebook, and at the moment it is the largest existing messaging platform on the planet, thanks to the functions it has been offering for several years, attracting many users.

WhatsApp currently has 1 billion daily active users worldwide, an impressive figure for a simple messaging application. When it comes to monthly active users, WhatsApp announces that it has 1.3 billion people who use its platform every month, so we are talking about an increase of only 100 million users compared to the figures reported about 3 months ago.

At the same time, WhatsApp announces that 55 billion messages are sent daily by users who access its messaging platform. We are talking about, on average, 55 messages sent daily by each user of the WhatsApp application, a sign that people talk to each other quite a lot, and so the company can boast of having a very active platform at the moment.

WhatsApp also says that daily users send 4.5 billion pictures, and if we make an average here as well, then we are talking about 4.5 pictures sent by each user. In the same idea, 1 billion video clips are shared through WhatsApp every day, that is, there is 1 video clip for each user, so the world is very active in sharing content through the messaging network every day.

WhatsApp has been the biggest messaging platform on the planet for years, but Facebook Messenger has come extremely close to it in recent years. Considering that both platforms are owned by Facebook, it was easy to understand why the emphasis would be placed on the promotion of Facebook Messenger instead of WhatsApp, the two platforms being close to equal in terms of the number of users.

WhatsApp won a lot of users thanks to the fact that it promised that it would never include ads and that it would not share user data with other companies or platforms. The second promise has already been broken by WhatsApp, and the first will be broken soon, as the company plans to display advertisements in the application, so it remains to be seen how many of the 1.3 billion users will remain active on the network.
