iPad shows "signs of life" in Q2 2017

iPad was the "star" product in Q2 2017 for the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, because its sales increased by 2.5 million units in just one year. Sales of iPad tablets have been in a constant decline for over 8 fiscal quarters, but the Apple company managed to reverse this fall and generated the first increase in sales during this period, to the great amazement of all analysts.

The iPad recorded this surprising increase in sales thanks to the iPad Pro 10.5 inch and 12.9 inch tablets, which Apple launched in March. Apple also lowered the price of the iPad Pro 9.7 inches, launching a new model with this type of screen in March, which is cheaper than the previous one, while the old iPad Mini tablets had a price drop and a improving the characteristics.

iPad registered a substantial increase in sales in Q2 2017 compared to Q2 2016, but the revenues generated by this product did not grow as spectacularly. Even so, this fiscal quarter suggests that the iPad tablet series still has the potential to generate good sales for the Apple company, contrary to what many analysts believed, who suggested for some time that the series would no longer generate money.

iPad still has an interesting future ahead, but everything depends on the news that Apple will announce for the products, but also on the prices chosen for them.
