Facebook is preparing an extremely interesting function for its users from all over the world, more precisely one that allows to temporarily stop the news seen from friends or pages. Facebook calls this feature Snooze, as you can see in the image below, it is currently being tested in several countries around the world, but it will definitely be implemented officially.
Facebook created this function for situations where you no longer want to see information from friends or pages, it is similar to the Mute from other social networks. By activating this function on Facebook, you will remove from the News Feed all the notifications regarding the news published by the pages and friends for whom you have applied the setting, but everything is only done temporarily by the company.
Facebook knows that the News Feed has become more and more crowded, mainly with completely useless information for most users, so it is testing this feature Snooze. Using this function, Facebook users will not have to give unfollow a person to stop receiving news from them, but they will only temporarily stop notifications without the friend or page knowing about the activation of the setting.
Facebook lets you mute your friends or pages
Facebook designed this function so that users can stop unfollowing pages or friends and forget to follow what they post again. In this idea, the new function Snooze offers the option to stop notifications for pages and friends for one day, 7 days, or 30 days, after which everything will automatically return to normal.
Facebook practically reactivates everything automatically for us because we will surely forget about the respective page or account 30 days after we gave Snooze. In order for the information to return to us, those at Facebook offer this function and I think we will see it available to everyone very soon, considering that it is very useful and saves many people from unnecessary discussions with friends.
Facebook is testing this function Snooze on a select number of users at the moment and the extension has not yet been detailed by the company. Despite this, I think we will soon find out what Facebook has in store for us, so it remains to be seen how the function will look in the end, but it is still very useful even in the basic version that is explained at the moment.
