iOS 11.1 public beta 2 was officially launched by the Apple company, the first version dedicated to users being practically the beta 2 version released almost 2 days before for developers. Starting today iOS 11.1 public beta 2 can be installed by any user of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, but of course I don't recommend you rush, at least for now.
iOS 11.1 public beta 2 does not come with anything new for iPhone and iPad users, the changes made by Apple being minor for now. iOS 11.1 public beta 2 is thought by the Apple company as a method to test the update before the iPhone X makes its appearance, so don't expect who knows what miracles from him, because they don't exist.
In this idea, I do not recommend you to install iOS 11.1 public beta 2 in your terminals. If you still want to, before starting you need to make a backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch data with iTunes or iCloud. Of course, you will only be able to use these backups in iOS 11.1 public beta 2 or a newer version of the operating system, but it is good to have them made in case of need.
iOS 11.1 public beta 2 – install on iPhone and iPad
To install iOS 11.1 public beta 2 on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch you will have to follow the steps below:
- access this page using the Safari browser.
- Press the Sign Up button and log in with your Apple ID.
- Accept the terms and conditions by pressing the button Accept.
- Choose the section iOS and scroll down until you see the option Download Profile.
- Press the button Download Profile.
- When you are asked to install a security profile, press the Install button.
- Now you will see an alert message asking for a terminal restart, which must be accepted.
- After restarting, navigate to Settings> General> Software Update, Settings > General > Software Update and choose the option Download and Install, Download and Install.
After following this procedure, you will have iOS 11.1 public beta 2 installed on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
