iTunes 12.7.1 was released by Apple this evening along with iOS 11.1, macOS 10.13.1 and watchOS 4.1, versions for Windows and Mac being available. The Apple company released iTunes 12.7.1 as a minor update for its program that allows not only the administration of the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, but also the reinstallation of the operating system that the devices have.
iTunes 12.7.1 has an explanation listed in the changelog that says minor performance issues have been resolved and overall performance has been improved. Basically, iTunes 12.7.1 has nothing important for us, so you install it for these minor changes, the update being available in the Mac App Store and through the Software Update system, which also exists in Windows.
