WhatsApp Copies Successfully, Announces a Record

WhatsApp managed to successfully copy what it set out to do, the Facebook company announcing during this day a very important record for everyone.

WhatsApp, the largest messaging platform on the planet, announced today a very important record for the efforts Facebook by copy company Snapchat. According to the company, WhatsApp's Stories function has so far gathered no less than 300 million monthly active users, a real achievement for a function that was copied from Snapchat in 2017.

WhatsApp currently has almost 2 times more users than Snapchat for the Stories function, and that says a lot about the popularity of the system offered to users. This is further proof that the Stories feature is extremely important and that when you offer it to a user base as large as WhatsApp's, it will be successful regardless of the situation.

WhatsApp had the Stories function slightly modified by those from Facebook after implementation because it was initially unsuccessful, but the changes brought exactly what was needed for users. WhatsApp registered 250 million active users for the Stories function in July, so we are talking about an increase of 50 million, or 20% in just a few months and things will probably continue.

WhatsApp is not the only Facebook platform that is successful with the Stories function, because Instagram also has 300 million active users for this system after its launch. Facebook copied the Stories function from Snapchat initially in Instagram, and then in WhatsApp, but in both it is very successful, less so in Facebook Messenger, or its own application, where people successfully ignore it.

WhatsApp recently announced a function that allows the deletion of messages sent to interlocutors, as long as we do this within a maximum of 7 minutes from the moment the message was sent. This function is available to all WhatsApp users who have the latest version of the application, and the messages are deleted from everywhere when this is done, so the interlocutors will not see them, not even in group conversations.

WhatsApp has over 1.2 billion active users on the platform at the moment, with very little more than Facebook Messenger, which has grown exponentially in the last year, surprisingly. WhatsApp is used by a lot of people because it is simple and works without problems, the company Facebook is constantly implementing new functions for it to attract more users.
