iPhone X was launched by the Apple company just yesterday, including in Romania, so many millions of the company's fans managed to buy their phones. I introduced you yesterday my impressions of the iPhone X and you found out what you can expect from the new phone from Cupertino, it being impressive from many points of view, but that was to be expected, considering the selling price.
iPhone X is 143.6 mm high, 70.9 mm wide and 7.7 mm thick, while iPhone 8 is 138.4 mm high, 67.3 mm wide and 7.3 mm thick, the differences being small, except for the thickness. Between the space gray versions of iPhone X and iPhone 8, the differences in size are "reduced" by the colors of the cases, but in use you will notice a very small difference between them, except for the thickness, which is easy to feel.
The iPhone X screen dominates the entire front panel, unlike the iPhone 8 screen, which has very large edges in the upper/lower parts, but at least it doesn't have a cutout. The thick edges of the iPhone X screen create a rather unusual feeling for the entire design, but if Apple did not want to make them thinner, we will have to get used to it as it is, with no other options.
Different generations, from many points of view
The iPhone X case has a slightly different color than the iPhone 8, the gray being slightly darker, but in combination with the side edges it creates an almost perfect design. You can notice that the edges of the iPhone X case are shiny, made of stainless steel, while the matte aluminum of the iPhone 8 does not create an equally "premium" phone, but surely this was also the intention of Apple.
There is also a major difference in the side button, in iPhone X it has much larger dimensions than in iPhone 8, the rest of the buttons being felt the same in daily use. In the lower part of the case we have the same design for the Lightning port and speakers, the Apple company having no reason to make changes from this point of view and not even bothering to change a design that is already 4 generations old.
The cameras are different, on iPhone X the main one being dual and vertical, with the LED flash integrated between the sensors, iPhone 8 having a simple camera, with an LED flash next to it. The TrueDepth camera of the iPhone X is also much more complex, with many more sensors and larger dimensions, but it is normal to be like that since it is used for facial recognition through Face ID.
Of all the changes implemented by Apple in the iPhone X, the one for the screen immediately stands out and you can see that there are very good reasons for this.
