We are talking here about customers of mobile phone operators, or of those from eMAG, who, although they made pre-orders before 10, did not receive the phones, and in this category I also include an order of this kind.
I can give you the case of eMAG, where I have an order for an iPhone X space gray 64 GB, which is listed as ready for delivery between November 4 and 6, although it was registered before 10 on October 27. A friend received a silver iPhone X 64 GB today, although he placed the order almost 30 minutes after me, he paid for it online, so theoretically he should have the phone delivered later, but it didn't happen that way.
The explanation for this discrepancy in the delivery time, not only at eMAG, but also at other online stores, lies in the fact that stocks for the space gray iPhone X models were available in small quantities. Stocks were divided with the focus on Apple's main partners, and those that were in the background received fewer units, mobile operators also having problems with stocks.
The silver version of the iPhone X was available in much larger quantities, which was also seen online, where these phones were available for pre-order even last weekend. Either we are talking about lower demand for the silver models compared to the space gray ones, or we are talking about larger stocks, it doesn't really matter, because in the end the customers were affected by what happened.
