iPhone X – Impossible to Damage with Counterfeit Chargers?

The iPhone X could be the first phone from the Apple company that has high short-circuit protection, so counterfeit chargers could not affect it.

iPhone X it could be impossible to damage with counterfeit chargers, in contrast to what is happening at the moment with almost every other model of iPhone sold by the people from Cupertino. You already know that Apple has issued many warnings regarding the use of counterfeit chargers with its phones, the company saying that they can damage the devices, either totally, or only the battery, or in extreme cases we can be electrocuted.

It would seem, however, that this problem would not affect the iPhone X either, the new phone of the Apple company having an extremely good surge protection, as you can see in the clip below. There we see a USB killer, that is, a USB device that can short-circuit almost any electronic device to which we can connect it, with the exception of Samsung phones, Google phones and now the iPhone X.

Is iPhone X Impossible to Damage with Counterfeit Chargers?

Daca iPhone 8 is destroyed by short circuit by this USB killer, the iPhone X shows no sign of being bothered by its connection to the Lightning port using an adapter. The even more interesting part, unlike Samsung phones, is that this USB killer doesn't even emit any spark when connected with an interposer, a sign that it can't even transmit current to the Apple phone.

This suggests that the iPhone X would be extremely well protected against short-circuiting, and counterfeit chargers could finally have a worthy opponent. Of course, more tests with very poor quality chargers are needed, but until then we can hope that Apple protects its very expensive phone well against problems of this kind, although it does not do it for other models.

Of course, this does not mean that you should charge your new iPhone X with anything other than Apple or certified chargers, so don't test this protection so you don't regret it.
