Funxim is the first attempt to copy Apple's AirPower (VIDEO)

Fuxim is the first attempt to copy Apple's AirPower, the wireless charger being cheaper, but having some disadvantages compared to what Apple will offer.

Funxim is the first attempt to copy the wireless charger AirPower which the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), officially announced for launch sometime next year on global markets. We are talking about a wireless charger that will be able to simultaneously charge iPhone and Apple Watch, AirPower having the added benefit of also charging the AirPods case.

If AirPower can simultaneously charge three products at the same time, Funxim can only charge two, but it is compatible with Apple Watch, which we cannot say about many wireless charging pads. What's more, Funxim only costs $29 when it launches, so it will be much, much cheaper than AirPower.

Funxim is supposed to provide 10W of energy for the iPhone and Apple Watch, but whether they want to draw that much energy remains to be seen only after the accessory is officially launched. Funxim is currently a project of a group of 3 Chinese people who are waiting to be financed through Kickstarter, already raising more than 6 times more money than they needed.

Funxim is going to be put up for sale in January by its creators, or at least that's what they say in the description of the project they're asking for funding for. Then the first units of those who supported the project will be delivered, so we will see how useful it is, but for AirPower we will have to wait longer.
