Apple Music, Apple's audio streaming platform, will be without one of the most important people who has contributed to its growth up to this point. We are talking about Jimmy Iovine, one of the co-founders of the Beats company bought by Apple, he being one of the most famous music producers and one of the people who built Apple Music.

Apple Music has benefited greatly from Jimmy Iovine's connections in the US music industry, he arrived at Apple together with Beats employees, but it seems that he will leave in 2018. Iovine plans to leave Apple in August, when they will enters a series of Apple shares as part of the employment contract within the company, so he is waiting for another series of money before leaving.

Iovine is leaving Apple because his vision of Apple Music is much different from that of other managers within the company, including senior vice president Eddy Cue. The fact that Iovine is waiting until August to leave Apple just to receive the bonuses that the company offers suggests that his interest at the moment is only related to money, not Apple Music.

"Jimmy Iovine, leader of Apple Inc.'s music-streaming service, is planning to part ways with the company in August after receiving a final payout from the $3 billion Beats Electronics deal, according to a person familiar with the matter. Iovine, 64, is unlikely to stay even if he gets a new offer."

Apple Music has had an extraordinary growth thanks to Jimmy Iovine, but also to Dr. Dre, the latter still remaining within the Apple company, at least based on what is known now. Apple Music will lose an extremely important man with the departure of Jimmy Iovine, this could cost it exclusivity with the artists and possibly some of the subscribers.
