370.000 people used the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in court in a single process that has as its basis limiting iPhone performance due to the degradation of the battery, this being the largest of all the ones opened so far. More than 30 lawsuits have been opened against Apple so far, but this one with 370.000 people is from South Korea and is the largest of all existing ones.

A South Korean law firm decided to open a lawsuit against Apple at a court in Seoul, and the 370.000 people voluntarily signed up to be part of it. For each of the 370.000 people involved in this process, compensation in the amount of 2000 dollars is requested because Apple does things on its own and does not warn its customers about the changes.

370.000 people sued Apple over the iPhone

This collective process gathers only 67.000 people at the end of December, so more than 300.000 people have joined it, and the number may increase as the press takes over the news of its initiation. Theoretically, it could reach 500.000 people, or even more than that, the Apple company having a huge problem in front of it, the very large number of people arriving is also an indicator of the level of customer frustration.

"On another front, Hannuri Law, a South Korean law firm, is accepting applications from people who want to join the lawsuit. So far, more than 370,000 people have expressed their intention to join. When we reported on the Hannuri lawsuit in the works back on December 29th, they had accepted 67,000 applications. That's 5.5 times the original count."

With all the problems it has had with its phones, the Samsung company has never been involved in a process of such magnitude, and here we see the importance of the iPhone and the involvement of customers in the problems. Unfortunately for those at Apple, the problem of limiting the performance of the iPhone due to battery degradation will have major repercussions and not only on a financial level.
