11.2.2 iOS jailbreak could be launched for iPhone and iPad, the Apple company confirming a kernel exploit in the update list for iOS 11.2.5. That exploit was sent to the Apple company by a person who discovered it in the final version of iOS 11.2.2 and tested it, and then offered it publicly for all those interested in exploiting it.
This exploit for iOS 11.2.2 allows an application to run unsigned code in Apple's operating system, so it can be used for a jailbreak solution. The one who discovered it says that the exploit is not really that interesting and that the world could be disappointed, but from the description made by Apple, it seems that it could be used for a jailbreak solution dedicated to iOS 11.2.2.
At the moment there are some jailbreak solutions for iOS 11, but they are quite limited, mainly because the Cydia application cannot be installed with them. Despite this, tweaks can still be installed for iPhone and iPad, and soon we should have available a jailbreak solution for iOS 11.2.2, perhaps a bit more complex.
Since this exploit is active even in iOS 11.2.2, it is clear that it can be used even in iOS 11.2.1, or iOS 11.2, so even those running these old versions will benefit from it.
