Alexa, the personal assistant in the company's smart speakers Amazon, has a small problem that started to scare the customers of the big American retailer the other day. You can see in the video clip below that Alexa starts laughing by herself while sitting quietly on the table, and that would scare any person, some customers complaining for a long time on social networks.
Amazon is aware of this problem, most likely after Alexa started laughing on its own and for some of the company's employees who use the product at home. The American company claims that the problem would be given by the fact that the personal assistant would misunderstand some expressions of the users and would start laughing when it shouldn't.
In this idea, the people from Amazon intend to change the command that orders the smart speaker to laugh, with one that is not so easy to interpret by the software. Of course, the problem itself is a stupid one, but very curious since nothing has happened so far, so someone has taught the artificial intelligence how to laugh on its own.
"We are aware of this and working to fix it. "We are also changing Alexa's response from simply laughter to 'Sure, I can laugh,' followed by laughter."
