iPad 2018: Here are the Secrets Discovered after the First Disassembly

iPad 2018 went through the first disassembly, and now we also find out the secrets that are hidden behind the new cheap tablet launched for the educational environment.

iPad 2018 disassembly

iPad 2018 was launched on Friday by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for educational clients and of course it was disassembled, because this happens with all new Apple products. To the disappointment of many, the iPad 2018 is very similar to the iPad 2017 inside the case, many of the components being shared between the two tablet models.

iPad 2018 is very difficult to repair, according to those from iFixit, stating that the adhesive used in excess by the Apple company during assembly spoils the repair process. Apart from that, the iPad 2018 uses the same A10 Fusion chip as in the iPhone 7, with Apple announcing from the start that it was integrated, so there should be no surprises here.

iPad 2018 still comes with a new Broadcom controller for the screen, which allows the use of the Apple Pencil, and the good part is that the screen is separated from the glass panel that protects it, so the second one can be replaced separately. Apart from these things, the 2018 iPad is identical to the model released in 2017, and that's normal since Apple wanted to keep costs down.

iPad 2018 receives a score of 2 out of 10 regarding the ease with which it can be repaired, so it is one of the products that is extremely difficult to repair, if it breaks. The only advantage of those who buy the iPad 2018 is that they will pay less for repairs than those who own the iPad Pro, but that's only because all the internal components are cheaper.
