Facebook Limits the Function HATED by the WHOLE WORLD

Facebook announced today that it will limit the function hated by everyone, the American company announcing the very important change last night.

Facebook Limits the UGLY Function ALL OVER THE WORLD

Facebook announced last night that it will limit one of the most hated functions among all users, and this after it was at the center of a serious scandal at the end of last month after it was revealed. I'm talking about the fact that Facebook collects SMS and call logs of Android users who used the application on their phones, all because Google allowed the extraction of this data, but to reassure people they will be removed.

Facebook analyzed the way this feature was implemented in Android phones and decided that it would not be beneficial for users, so it decided to modify and limit it. Those from Facebook claim that they do not collect SMS messages, although it has been proven that they do this in reality, but they announced that they will delete the call lists older than 1 year, so they will continue to collect the existing ones, the reasons being quite clear and without explanation.

However, Facebook says that it will limit to a certain extent the data that is uploaded to its servers, and information regarding the date on which the calls were made will not be stored in the logs sent to the servers. Facebook didn't need the SMS and call lists it collected over the years, but of course that didn't stop it from doing it non-stop all this time, but if Android still offers them the possibility to do this, why not pick them?

"We've reviewed this feature to confirm that Facebook does not collect the content of messages — and will delete all logs older than one year. In the future, the client will only upload to our servers the information needed to offer this feature — not broader data such as the time of calls."

Facebook made this change within a multitude of changes aimed at restricting access to certain data from its platform in order to strengthen the security of users who use it. Facebook is trying to get out of the Cambridge Analytica scandal as simply as possible, with measures designed to strengthen the trust of the remaining users, but they will decide if all these news come too late for them.
