iOS 11.4 makes iPhone almost IMPOSSIBLE to Jailbreak

iOS 11.4 comes with a major change for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch security that will make Apple products almost impossible for anyone to hack.

iOS 11.4 iPhone IMPOSSIBLE Jailbreak

iOS 11.4 it is currently being tested in beta version by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and a very interesting change is going to make all iDevices almost impossible to crack. According to a document from the Apple company, iOS 11.4 will include a function called USB Restricted Mode, this disabling the Lightning port and the USB connectivity of the iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch after a week of inactivity.

iOS 11.4 implements this security measure to block devices like GrayBox, which authorities use to crack the passcode of any iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch in minutes or hours. iOS 11.4 disables the Lightning port for data transfer and limits charging if the iDevices have not been unlocked, or connected to a known computer, in a period of 7 consecutive days.

iOS 11.4 practically limits to only 7 days the possibility of the authorities to obtain access to the data from the iDevices that come into their custody, and sometimes it can prove to be insufficient to recover important data. iOS 11.4 will prove to be a new big headache for the authorities, and even though the GrayBoxes will not be completely blocked, they will have limited functionality in time, and soon I think that Apple will find a method to blocks completely, although theoretically this should be valid even now.

"At this point, it is still unclear whether the USB port is blocked if the device has not been unlocked with a passcode for 7 consecutive days; if the device has not been unlocked at all (password or biometrics); or if the device has not been unlocked or connected to a trusted USB device or computer. In our test, we were able to confirm the USB lock after the device has been left idle for 7 days. During this period, we have not tried to unlock the device with Touch ID or connect it to a paired USB device. What we do know, however, is that after the 7 days the Lightning port is only good for charging."

iOS 11.4 should be tested by the Apple company sometime around June, because until then it is very unlikely that the update will be offered, and this because Apple is now focused on iOS 12. It is not known for now whether iOS 11.4 will bring other important changes for the security of iDevices, but it is quite clear that Apple wants to find ways to make its products harder for anyone to hack.
